MB Rajesh asks congress to reveal number of houses built to flood survivors, feud ensues in assembly

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister MB Rajesh opened yesterday a cannonball of accusations at the congress party and challenged the MLAs on the other sections to dutifully reveal the number of houses built as promised to flood survivors in Kerala. The minister called for an adjournment motion regarding the LIFE scheme and blasted the opposition for glib talks and only completed 46 houses from 1000 promised. The accusations lead to a sound exchange between the two sides in the assembly.

In a repartee to the accusations, opposition leader VD Satheeshan ridiculed the minister and said that in Ernakulam's three constituencies alone, the houses built by KPCC are above the minister's tailored math of 46 numbers. Satheeshan also promised to submit the total records to the assembly within a few days. Pulling back no punches, the leader of the opposition warned the minister to not stoop to the level of Porali Shaji( an anonymous troll group that favors the politics of the left).

MB Rajesh meanwhile asserted that 1203 homes were built by the government. He also accused certain members of the congress who held covert meetings with PM Narendra Modi to end the LIFE scheme meant for the financially burdened in the state.
