Man suicides inside CITU office, police dismiss abnormality

THRISSUR: A man has been found hanging inside a CITU office in Thrissur. Kanjani native Sathishlal known as Lalappan committed suicide inside the office. Sathishlal came to the union office by noon and engaged in small talks with the people inside. Later he took a room for rest and locked it from the inside. Hours passed and the workers' calls were not answered which raised tensions inside the office. The people inside opened the window just to see Satheesh hanging. The workers immediately informed the nearby Anthikad police station about the happening.

The police dismissed any kind of unusualness in the death. For a long, Satheesh was gripped in the grief of unemployment. He has been using sleeping pills to quell the tensions over the job crisis. The body has been shifted to the district hospital for postmortem procedures.
