Malayalee dies in Air India flight from Kochi, heart wrenching news awaited wife at airport

LONDON: A Malayalee died in an Air India flight from Kochi to London. Dileep Francis George (65) residing in Ilkeston in Derbyshire near Nottingham in Britain died while returning after vacation from his hometown. The incident happened on AI-149 flight which left from Kochi yesterday morning. The news of his death was heart wrenching for his wife, who came to receive him at the airport.

Dileep who developed uneasiness during his journey was attended by medical professionals but his life could not be saved. An emergency message seeking the help of police and ambulance was passed to the office in Kochi and London. The body is presently in Heathrow Airport. After completing the procedures, the body will be handed over to his family.

Dileep, a native of Moovattupuzha, after the death of his first wife, married a native of Pakistan. He has three children. A Malayalee official of Air India had shared the message obtained from the flight on social media.
