Missing adivasi girl found dead in Nilambur forests

MALAPPURAM: An adivasi girl was found hanging in a forest in Nilambur. She has been identified as Akhila (17) of Kandilappara. Her body was found hanging from a tree late last night. The police reached the spot and completed the inquest procedings. It is suspected to be a suicide.

The body has been shifted to Nilambur district hospital for post-mortem. The girl was a higher secondary student of Nilambur Manavedan School. She went missing at 3 pm last evening. Her body was found in a search conducted by her relatives and locals.
