PALAKKAD: Chief minister yet again sees black flags hurled at him in Palakkad. The incident has been recurring for quite some days in Kerala following the sudden spike in petrol prices administered by the government in their latest budget. The youth congress supporters made this protest, after which the police made the arrest to clear the space.

The strong security and the re-expanded cavalcade of the chief minister got the ire of the public and opposition alike. Getting early signs of a protest brewing near the CM's arriving route, the police in Palakkad made cautionary detainment of three including youth congress state secretary A K Shanib. By early morning 6 am, a group of policemen reached Shanib’s home near Chalissery. The detention was made under CRPC 153 section.

The CM was in Palakkad to attend a function. Meanwhile, the life mission case involving the chief minister's former private secretary is entering an appalling phase. In the coming days, the police are burdened up with covering the CM in a protective blanket. News also emerged about the chief minister opting for helicopter travel to avoid the protest.
