THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Stepfather who raped a minor girl and made her pregnant gets 62 years in prison. The accused abducted his wife's daughter from her first marriage, kept her captive, and abused her. The accused threw a bomb at the police who came to rescue the girl and escaped. In 2021, the accused was later arrested in a case registered by the Kazhakootam police.

Thiruvananthapuram POCSO court sentenced the accused. The order is under the sections of POCSO, Attempt to murder, use of explosives, kidnapping, and assaulting the police.
