LUCKNOW: In a strange incident, a bride returned back to her home canceling her marriage after discerning the long travel needed to reach the groom's house. The drama unfolded in the Kanpur region in Uttar Pradesh. The groom earlier convinced the bride's family about his home being in Prayagraj. However, through the journey, it was evident that it was not Prayagraj but Rajasthan where they were headed to.

Ravi is a native of Bikaner in Rajasthan. The marriage with the UP girl took place in the holy citadel of Varanasi. Later, following the custom of traveling to the groom's house, the bride got to know about the lie that was made about the location. Midway through the journey, the vehicles sided for filling fuel when the bride got out and called the cops nearby to reveal her fate.

“ For the last seven hours, I am traveling. It is too tedious for me to continue and Rajasthan is still a faraway destination” the girl cried and pleaded with the cops to not allow her to travel this long.

Later the cops contacted her girl's family when her mother also expressed shock at knowing about the Rajasthan dilemma. Even the mother was informed about the groom's destination being in Prayagraj. The family immediately asked the police to provide protection and bring the bride back to Kanpur. The groom and his family separated mid-way with the bride on the barren asphalt of Rajasthan.
