‘Aga Naga’ song from Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ out, depicts love between Kundavai and Vandiyadevan; watch video

‘PS -2’, the second part of Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ will be released on April 28. Now the makers have released the first song of 'PS-2'. The lyrical song titled ‘Aga Naga’ was released on YouTube. Rafeeq Ahmed is the lyricist and the song is composed by AR Rahman. Shaktishree Gopalan is the singer. Mani Ratnam's ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is based on the famous historical novel by writer Kalki Krishnamurthy.

The different language versions of the song have also been released. The song depicts the love between Kundavai played by Trisha and Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan.

Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Rahman, Prabhu, Jayaram, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Babu Antony, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Jayachitra are the main actors of the film. AR Rahman's music, Ravi Varman's cinematography and Thotta Tharani's art direction are the attractive elements of 'Ponniyin Selvan’. Produced jointly by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, 'PS-2' will be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
