Four Shailajas and three Shafis in the fray; Vadakara goes viral on social media

KOZHIKODE: Four Shailajas, three Shafis and one Muraleedharan are in the fray in the hotly contested Vadakara Lok Sabha constituency. Fourteen candidates have filed nominations in Vadakara. Along with traditional campaigns, Vadakara is viral on social media through reels. Alongside LDF candidate K.K. Shailaja, three other Shailajas are seeking votes. One of them is Shailaja KK. The other Shailajas are Shailaja K and Shailaja P.

Along with UDF candidate Shafi Parambil, two independent candidates namely Shafi TP and Shafi are seeking the mandate. There is also a rebel candidate challenging Shafi Parambil. Abdul Rahim, the former secretary of the Congress Naripatta constituency, has filed as an independent. Although K Muralidharan has changed fields to Thrissur, there is an independent candidate named Muralidharan. Praful Krishnan is the BJP candidate.
