Actors, politicians visit Innocent at hospital; medical board meeting at 8 pm

KOCHI: Saji Cheriyan, Minister of Culture, visited actor and former MP Innocent who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital here. The minister also said that he had spoken to the family members and to actors Edavela Babu and Jayaram who were with him in the hospital. In a post on Facebook, the minister said that a medical board will meet at 8 pm tonight after assessing the progress of the treatment of Innocent, whose condition remains criticals, and to decide on further matters.

"Visited Ernakulam Lakeshore Hospital where beloved actor Sri Innocent is undergoing treatment. I spoke with the family members, Edavela Babu Jayaram who were with him in the hospital. His condition remains critical. I also spoke to the hospital MD, CEO and senior doctors. Tonight at 8 pm, the medical board will evaluate the progress of the treatment and decide on the next steps. Let's hope he survives this ordeal and comes back", the minister's post reads.
