Family scolded me for 'Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava'; Samantha opens up about split from Akkineni

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was subjected to cannonballs of verbal attack after she made it public about her split from the Akkineni family. On April 14th, her latest 'Shakuntalam' will get released. The actor was meeting the press for movie promotion but opened up about the sad days when she decided to end her marriage for good.

“Pushpa’s ‘Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava’ fast number was offered to me when it was all done between me and Naga Chaitanya. The offer sounded good and I had no good reason to say 'NO 'to the makers who approached me. However, my family and close friends scorned and dismissed my intentions and said it was one bad move to go ahead with an item song during such a decisive phase.” Samatha told the press.

Samantha still believes her choice of the song was no mistake of hers. She says it is part of the work and time doesn’t matter about the selection to do item numbers.

“ Many people say that Samantha is bold, strong, and whatever words come up to them. But it is not the case with me. Those were the days I seldom popped my head from the bed. The routine was to cry all day long. I would occasionally ask my mother why the fortunes went downhill for me. If it was not for my family and friends, Samantha wouldn’t have been here to do any more films” The actress closed her statements.
