THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A native of Vellanad has been arrested in the case of stopping the marriage of his lover after sending her morphed pics to the groom. The Vilappilsala police arrested 22-year-old S Vijin of Kadukkamoodu in the case.
Police said the two were in a relationship for four years. After they parted ways, the girl’s family fixed her marriage with another youth. He later sent some morphed pictures of the two taken during their love days to the youth’s WhatsApp. He then went to the groom’s house and showed the pics to his parents. With this, they called of the marriage.
Vijin was arrested after a case was registered under the IT act. He told police that he did this to stop her marriage. Police said that they would send his phone for forensic examination. Vijin was arrested from his hideout by a team led by Vilappilsala inspector N Suresh Kumar.
