THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has not yet given permission for the UAE visit of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The Chief Minister is supposed to reach Abu Dhabi on May 7 to attend a program organized by the Abu Dhabi government.

The Chief Minister is supposed to participate in the investor meeting organized by the Abu Dhabi government and in the programs organized by various organizations. It was UAE Minister Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi who invited the Chief Minister on behalf of the Government of Abu Dhabi.

According to the Public Administration Department, the investor meeting will take place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. It also said the MEA had not given any clear reasons for not giving permission. The state government had sought the Centre's nod for the CM's UAE visit last month.
