No mention of communists, 10 scenes to be deleted from film are

The censor board has given 'A' certificate and permission to release the controversial film 'The Kerala Story' with 10 conditions. The’ interview of former chief minister V S Achuthanandan and the mention of Indian Communists are biggest hypocrites’ should be deleted, are some of the conditions. Director Sudipto Sen said changes will be made after accepting the conditions of the censor board.

Sen said that he got the idea for the film from a statement of V S Achuthanandan in 2010. His interview will be deleted, but that conversation will be incorporated into the film in a different way. Speculations are doing the rounds about the film. Sen said that he respects Islam. Don't know what Islamophobia is. There is no derogatory reference to Kerala. Have not received funds either from BJP or centre for the film. The film was not made for political interests. The film is against terrorism. The theme is cheating girls on the pretext of love. There is no mention of love jihad. Sticking on to the count of the girls leaving the country via religious conversion, Sudipto Sen told media.

However, the YouTube trailer of the film has corrected the description. The film first said 32,000 women went missing from Kerala alone. The remark of 32,000 girls joining ISIS stoked a controversy. It was later changed to three.
