Eight students, guard killed in Serbia school shooting, 14-year-old arrested

BELGRADE: At least eight students and a security guard were killed in a shooting at a school in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Six students and a teacher were injured in the attack. They were admitted to the hospital. The accused, a 14 year old boy, was arrested by the police. The boy reportedly used his father's gun. The motive behind the shooting is unclear. The probe into the incident is underway.

The shooting took place at 8.40 local time today. After that, the area around the school is under heavy police protection.

The Ministry of Home Affairs informed that the accused is a class 7 student. Pictures of the accused being taken away from the scene by the police with his hands cuffed and his head covered with a jacket are circulating on social media.
