Impersonation in union elections: Police conduct inspection in college

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police on Thursday conducted an inspection at the Kattakkada Christian College and seized some documents in connection with the impersonation case of an SFI leader at the College. The inspection started at 2.30 pm yesterday and continued till night under the leadership of SI Srinath. The records of the Principal Office and Administration Section were examined. The police recorded the statement of Principal In-Charge NK Nishad.

The police had recorded the statement of the complainant Kerala University Registrar Dr Anilkumar the other day. Kattakkada Christian College Principal-in-Charge Dr GJ Shaiju is the first accused in the case, while SFI leader Visakh, is the second accused. The irregularity was committed by giving the name of SFI area secretary Visakh instead of Anagha, who won as UUC.
