AHMEDABAD: The final match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans of the 16th season of IPL started with a toss while the threat of rain remained. Chennai won the toss and selected to bowl. Gujarat will bat first in the final.
Dhoni's side is aiming for a fifth title as defending champions Gujarat will try to retain their title. If they win the title today, Chennai will match Mumbai Indians' record of most titles.
Captain Hardik Pandya will also own a record if Gujarat wins today. If Gujarat becomes the champions, it will be Hardik's sixth IPL title. Rohit Sharma currently has six IPL titles. Rohit has won five titles with Mumbai and once with Deccan Chargers. Pandya has won the title four times with Mumbai and once with the Titans.
