Bus employee held for stealing gold of devotee at Mookambika temple

KOLLUR: A youth has been held for stealing the gold ornaments of a woman devotee at Mookambika Temple. The arrested is B G Gireesh (32), a private bus employee and a native of Thirthahalli. He stole the gold on June 4. He stole gold of 108 grams including gold bangles and chain.

The police found that it was Gireesh who stole the gold following a detailed examination of CCTV visuals as part of the investigation. A probe focusing on his mobile phone led the police to the accused.


During a detailed interrogation, he told police that he had sold some gold and hid the rest. Everything has been found.
