LUCKNOW: A bride backed out from the wedding because the groom did not have a government job. The bride decided not to marry the groom during the wedding ceremonies. The incident took place in Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The groom's relatives returned in great distress after the bride refused to marry.

The groom is an engineer who earns a monthly salary of Rs 1.2 lakh in a private company. He is a native of Balrampur in Chhattisgarh and owns a lot of property. Still, the bride refused to marry him, citing the fact that he does not have a government job.

The wedding ceremony had ceremonies that lasted for several days. Most of the ceremonies had been completed. During this time, the bride came to know that the groom did not have a government job. After that, she refused to continue with the ceremonies. Although both the families tried to persuade the bride, the bride did not back down from her decision.

The relatives even showed the groom's salary slip to make the bride understand. The woman stood her ground despite receiving a monthly salary of Rs 1.2 lakh. The groom's relatives have not filed a police complaint regarding the incident. Government jobs are given great importance in India as they offer more stability and job security than the private sector.
