Chargesheet says DRDO scientist attracted to Pak spy agent revealed missile secrets

PUNE: The chargesheet of DRDO scientist Pradeep Kurulkar, who tried to leak the crucial information to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, is out. The ATS wing of the Maharashtra Police has given shocking information against Kurulkar in the charge sheet. A woman identified as Zara Dasgupta tried to trap Pradeep Kurulkar in a honeytrap. It has been found that she is a spy of Pakistan Intelligence Agency.

Zara tried to leak critical information about BrahMos launcher, drone, UCV, Agni missile launcher and military bridging system. She got acquainted with DRDO lab director Pradeep Kurulkar through WhatsApp for it. She claimed to be a software engineer based in the UK and befriended him by sending obscene messages and videos. The two were in contact from June 2022 to December 2022. Meanwhile, Kurulkar, who understood that someone was trapping him, blocked Zara’s number. However, she tried to contact him from another number.

The ATS arrested Kurulkar on May 3 in 2023. He is in judicial custody now.
