Railways to serve puri, bajji at Rs 20

NEW DELHI: With elections around the corner, Railways have come up with decisions that are likely to become popular among the people. At stalls set up by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Company (IRCTC) on the platforms, a pack of seven puris (175 gm), potato curry (150 gm) and pickle (12 gm) will be available for Rs 20. It will soon be available at 64 stations including Thiruvananthapuram. Apart from this, you can get a packet of any of mid-day meals, chole-bhature, pavbajji and masala dosa for Rs 50. Counters will be installed at the entrance of the stations and where the general compartments start.

Earlier, the packet containing five puris, potato curry and pickles for Rs 10 and was stopped during the Covid period.
