KOCHI: LDF convener E P Jayarajan visited the home of the five-year-old girl who was brutally murdered a few days ago. He responded that it was an incredibly painful incident and he went there to share the grief of the family.
He also criticized the reaction of the opposition leader, V D Satheesan to the incident deeming it inappropriate and immature. V D Satheesan had criticized that while so many policemen are deployed when the CM comes, there were not ample numbers of police deployed when the child went missing.
Jayarajan told the media that he will do everything possible for the child's family and ensure that the criminals do not escape justice. He clarified that criticisms against the police are baseless and the investigation is ongoing.
Jayarajan stated that blaming the police for everything is a wrong trend and could potentially damage their morale. He also asked not to politicize the incident asserting that if the police have made a mistake, anyone is welcome to point it out. He questioned whether the current criticisms being raised are meant to hinder the investigation.
