'Promoting science does not require rejection of faith;' Speaker asserts science as fact

MALAPPURAM: Speaker A N Shamseer stated that promoting science does not necessitate the rejection of faith. Science reflects reality and Kerala stands as a land of secularism. Shamseer emphasized that no entity should be permitted to sow division, expressing these views during the inauguration program of a school building in Malappuram.

He further highlighted that Kerala's culture holds reverence for all religious individuals and cautioned against attempts to distort history. Shamseer welcomed dissenting voices but urged against the propagation of misinformation.

‘Individuals of all castes and religions should coexist harmoniously with the freedom to express their viewpoints. This embodies the essence of Kerala,’ Shamseer remarked. He extended a warm invitation to non-Muslims to join in breaking their fasts during religious observances. Additionally, he noted that while Onam serves as the national festival of Keralites, it predominantly finds celebration among Hindus. However, they generously invite their Muslim friends to partake in the festivities.

Shamseer asserted, ‘We must firmly declare our stance against any endeavour aimed at sowing division among us.’
