Rahul Gandhi to visit Wayanad today

KALPETTA: Rahul Gandhi will visit Wayanad today for the first time after being reinstated as MP. He will be given a rousing welcome in Wayanad. A quarter of a lakh workers will attend the program which will be held at the new bus stand area of Kalpetta, the district headquarters, at 3 pm. The program is organized by Wayanad District Congress Committee for KPCC.

KPCC Working President Advocate T Siddique, A P Anilkumar MLA, IC Balakrishnan MLA, Wayanad District KPCC General Secretary Jamila Alipetta and other leaders are making huge preparations. On the occasion of the ceremony, Rahul Gandhi will also hand over the keys of nine houses built under the Kaithangu project.

AICC General Secretaries K C Venugopal, Tariq Anwar, KPCC President K Sudhakaran, Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, Sadikali Shihab Thangall, P K Kunhalikutty, K Muralidharan, M K Raghavan, N K Premachandran, Rajmohan Unnithan, E T Muhammad Basheer, CP John, Devarajan, MLAs Mons Joseph and AP Anilkumar will also participate. Rahul will also inaugurate the HT connection ofMananthavady Nalloornad Ambedkar Memorial Cancer Center at 11 am today. The foundation stone of the Community Disability Management Center at Kotanchery will also be laid at 6:30 pm.
