KOLLAM: There is a different kind of thief in the city of Kollam who steals coins even after obtaining a bundle of notes. The thief broke into four shops on Chamakada Road and took only coins from two shops. A shop on Chamakada Road had a note bundle of Rs 46,000. The surveillance camera footage shows the thief taking the bundle of cash but leaving it on the table. He then proceeded to take the coins. He broke the lock and raided the interior of another shop but took nothing but coins. The locks of the other two shops were also broken but no money was lost.

The Kollam East Police said that they believe that a deranged youth is behind the theft and they were already looking for him in the incident of damaging an ATM in the city.
