THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The weather department has warned that rain will continue in the state for the next five days. IMD has also informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain in isolated places for three days.
A cyclonic circulation is located over South East Uttar Pradesh and another one over Southeast Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep. According to the warning, Cyclonic Circulation is likely to form over the North Andaman Sea by September 29. During the next 24 hours, it will strengthen as a low pressure over North Andaman Sea and East Central Bay of Bengal. Then it may move in the west and north-west direction and gain strength again. Kerala is likely to continue having moderate rain and thundershowers for the next 5 days. IMD has informed that isolated heavy rain is also possible on September 24, 27 and 28.

Yellow alert has been announced in these districts. A chance of isolated heavy rain is forecast. Heavy rains mean rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
Special Precautions
Although only a yellow alert has been announced in southern Kerala, due to the possibility of heavy rainfall, special caution should be exercised in the hilly areas.
