Conflict erupts over car headlight glare, leaves 54-year-old dead

NAGPUR: An altercation arose over the glare from the headlights shining on a man's face leading to a tragic outcome for a 54-year-old. Muralidhar Ramroji who was assaulted by a State Reserve Police Force officer in Nagpur died. The officer responsible, Nikhil Gupta (30) had come to visit his sister in the vicinity of Mata Mandir which falls under the jurisdiction of Vathoda police station.

The confrontation began when Gupta parked his car causing the headlights to shine directly onto Muralidhar's face. Muralidhar questioned Gupta about the blinding light resulting in an argument between them. In the course of this dispute, Gupta physically assaulted Muralidhar. Muralidhar, who lost consciousness due to the assault, was swiftly taken to the nearby medical college hospital. Muralidhar succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. Authorities have reported that a case has been filed against Officer Gupta in connection with this incident.
