Everyone calls WhatsApp the most popular messaging app. Nowadays, there are very few people who do not have WhatsApp installed on their phones. Now WhatsApp users are getting a notification from the company which is trending on social media as well.
The company informs that the WhatsApp application will stop working on some Android phones from October. The company is removing official support from certain models of Android phones citing security reasons.
The company is removing support for outdated cellphone models that customers don't use much. However, the company has issued an official notification as some users are still using these phones.
WhatsApp will stop working on these phones from October. Models with Android 4.1, or some versions released earlier, are on the list. Sony Ericsson, HTC and LG Optimus phones also feature in the list.

WhatsApp can be used on these phones only till October 24. From now on, WhatsApp will only be supported on phones with Android 5 or above. Android users can check what software is running on their phone by going to Settings and clicking the About Phone option.
