Sexual harassment on pretext of marriage: Shiyas Kareem granted bail

KASARGOD: The Hosdurg First Class Magistrate Court has granted conditional bail to actor and reality show fame Shiyas Kareem in the sexual harassment case. Shiyas was arrested by the Chanthera police this morning.

Shiyas has denied the allegations raised by the complainant. As per Shiyas's statement, he had promised to marry the complainant. However, the woman hid the fact that she was married and had a son. He also told the police that he did not sexually harass the complainant and that he had consensual sex with her.

Earlier, the Customs had detained Shiyas at the Chennai airport soon after he arrived from Dubai. The Customs detained him on the basis of the lookout notice issued against him by the Kerala police. Following this, the Chanthera police were informed.
