Gold worth Rs 2.15 cr found abandoned in flight's lavatory

NEDUMBASSERY: Gold worth Rs 2.15 crore was found abandoned in the toilet of a flight. The gold weighing 3.461 kg of gold was recovered from the toilet of the IndiGo flight from Abu Dhabi by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials.

The DRI officials conducted an inspection on receiving secret information and found gold biscuits and gold mixture wrapped in plastic. DRI has collected information about flight crew and passengers. They will be summoned and questioned.

There have also been incidents of people hiding gold while pretending to go to the lavatory, and then using the cleanin staff to take it out. This could likely be a similar move.
