THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Democratic Alliance is currently on strike, demanding the Chief Minister's resignation due to various issues. The NDA protest began near the Secretariat's main gate at 8 pm on Sunday.
The BJP National President, JP Nadda is set to inaugurate the protest at 11 am. The NDA's boycott strike is focused on concerns like corruption, looting in cooperatives, price hikes and a month-long controversy. Political parties including the BJP are insisting on the Chief Minister's resignation. BJP State President K Surendran has called for the Chief Minister to step down over allegations of corruption and mismanagement in the state.
Traffic arrangements have been made in Thiruvananthapuram city today due to the NDA Secretariat's protest. Traffic control will be in effect from 5 in the morning covering areas from Palayam to Pulimoodu.
Following today's blockade of the Secretariat, leaders have announced that 2000 campaign meetings will be held at the panchayat and regional levels from November 10 to 30 to protest against the government.
