Son along with his friends brutally thrashes father over property dispute

PEERUMEDU: An old man was brutally thrashed during a verbal dispute that broke out with his son. Francis (64) of Manjumala Rajamudi has been admitted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital, after his son along with his friends attacked him badly. The locals first took Francis to the Peerumedu Taluk Hospital and then shifted him to the medical college.

The Vandiperiyar police have registered a case and an investigation has started against Francis' son Janardhanan (44), Balamurugan (42) from Manjumala Grambi and Manjumala Kashikadavu Manoj (38). A verbal dispute broke out between Francis and his son Janardhana at Rajamudi. Manoj and Balamurugan, who were watching this, thrashed Francis.

Francis, who was staying with Janardhanan, following a property dispute shifted to his daughter’s house. Francis who had 15 cents of land, gave eight cents to his daughter. Enraged over it, Janardhanan fought with his father and attacked him badly.
