Former expatriate arrested with cocaine, MDMA in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Excise Department has arrested a former expat while trying to sell cocaine and drugs in Thiruvananthapuram. The arrested is Kollam native Faisal Basheer. He was arrested by a team led by Thiruvananthapuram Excise Special Squad Circle Inspector BL Shibu from the premises of the Pettah Railway Station. The Excise team seized 10.39 grams of cocaine and 16.16 grams of MDMA from him.

The Excise Team strategically nabbed Faisal Basheer while he was trying to sell drugs. Faisal had earlier served a jail term in Dubai for selling LSD and ganja there. The Excise team comprised Inspector R Ratheesh, Preventive Officers Santhosh Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Civil Excise Officers Krishnaprasad, Sureshbabu, Nandakumar, Akshay Suresh, Prabod, Vipin, Ajayan and Vineesh Krishna.
