Children subjected to unnatural sexual abuse under the cover of madrasa: three arrested

NEDUMANGAD: Nedumangad police have arrested three Ustads, including a native of Uttar Pradesh, who subjected children to unnatural sexual abuse under the guise of a madrasa. Siddique (24), a resident of Kadackal Kanjirathummoodu Bismi Bhavan, Muhammad Shameer (28), a resident of Jasmin Villa near Karibah Auditorium, Tholicode, and Muhammad Rasalal Haq (30), a native of Ganeshpur in UP Kheri district, were arrested.

The accused have been running a madrasa at Nedumangad for the past one year. Following a tip-off by the Child Welfare Committee that children coming for religious studies were subjected to unnatural sexual abuse, Kattakkada DYSP N Shibu, Nedumangad SHO A Sunil, SI Suresh Kumar, ASI Shaji, Rajith, SCPOs C Biju, Deepa and CPO Ajit Mohan arrested the accused under the supervision of District Superintendent of Police Kiran Narayanan. The accused were produced in court and remanded.
