Cyclonic Circulation in Bay of Bengal will become extreme low pressure; possibility of five days of rain in state

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IMD has warned that there is a possibility of rain in the state for the next five days. Cyclonic Circulation formed over South Thailand and the South Andaman Sea is likely to intensify into low pressure over the Bay of Bengal by tomorrow. It has also been warned that it is likely to intensify into a low pressure over South East Bay of Bengal by Wednesday.

According to the warning of the IMD, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Kerala for the next five days as a result of the influence of low pressure. The warning states that caution should be exercised as strong winds with gusts of up to 40 kilometers per hour are also possible.

From tomorrow till November 30, fishermen are advised to be cautious. Strong winds and bad weather conditions are likely over South Andaman Sea and adjoining North Andaman Sea from November 27 to 30 with a wind speed of 40 to 45 kmph and occasionally up to 55 kmph. It is advised not to fish in the above areas during these days.
