Police release sketch of woman involved in Kannanallur abduction attempt

KOLLAM: The Kannanallur police have released a sketch of a woman involved in the attempted abduction of an 11-year-old girl in Puliyila near Kulappadam, Kannanallur. This attempt occurred hours before six-year-old Abigail Sarah was abducted.

The incident took place on the morning of the 27th. A woman wearing churidar approached the child who was at home. The child promptly called mother, causing a commotion. Upon the mother's arrival, the woman fled through the gate and escaped on a scooter driven by a waiting youth nearby. The Kannanallur police have registered a case regarding this incident.

Following the evening abduction of Abigail in Oyur, the police began searching for the woman linked to both cases. Due to the rural area having limited CCTV coverage, insufficient footage was obtained. Subsequently, the child's statement was recorded. Based on this, a sketch of the woman who is linked to the Kannanallur incident was created. The police suspect this woman to be involved in both incidents.
