KOLLAM: The youth congress came to the fore against the DYFI in the abduction incident of Abigail Sara. The youth congress lodged a complaint with the DGP alleging that the DYFI is trying to divert the investigation. The complaint is based on the revelations to the media by a female member of the DYFI district committee in finding the child.
The complaint was lodged by youth congress state president Vishnu Sunil Pandalam stating that the female leader is spreading false information as if she was an eyewitness. The revelations were that of the female leader staying near Udaya Club at Kollam Ashramam.
Her statement to the media
‘I live near the Ashramam Grounds. I am a social activist and member of the DYFI district committee. The man who saw the girl is unit secretary of DYFI Ashramam. He was standing on one side of the ashramam grounds opposite the income tax quarters.
Two youths arrived in the quarters in a vehicle with a number beginning with K L 31 and had a verbal argument with the security personnel. Meanwhile, the unit secretary came home and informed that the missing child is sitting in the ashram. By the time I reached there, had confirmed that the child was Abigail.
CCTV cameras are not installed in front of the income tax quarters and in the nearby bar. The unit secretary said that he had seen the woman in yellow churidar making the child sit on the grounds and later going near the income tax office. I identified the girl on reaching there.
Meantime, the youth congress in the complaint alleged that this is a planned move by the DYFI to mislead people. The complaint also demanded that a detailed statement of the woman leader be registered.
