rajesh-

IRITTY(KANNUR): Complaint that tribal youth died without receiving proper treatment at Pariyaram Medical College. Rajesh (22) of IHDP ST colony in Ayyankunnu Kottukappara died yesterday morning.

Rajesh who was suffering from jaundice was taken to Iritty Taluk Hospital for treatment three days ago. After the examination, he was shifted to Pariyaram Medical College on the same day, but his parents and sister say that he did not receive adequate treatment. However, the explanation of the hospital authorities is that Rajesh's lungs were affected and he was shifted to the intensive care unit. Sunny Joseph MLA spoke to Rajesh's relatives after visiting them at their home following which he called Health Minister Veena George and conveyed the family's complaint. The minister then ordered an inquiry.

Rajesh is the son of Raju and Susheela. The body was brought to Keezhpally Puthiyangadi in the afternoon and cremated. A few months ago, another youth from the same colony who was admitted for snakebite had died at Pariyaram Medical College. It was alleged that he also did not receive adequate treatment that day.
