Beware of such sites, Lulu Group warns of websites offering 'gifts' in their name

KOCHI: Fake messages are circulating in the name of Lulu Hypermarket. The links are spread in the form of hypermarket promotion by offering Christmas and New Year gifts.

On clicking these links, people are fooled through social media and fake sites. A 'congratulations' message will appear first followed by questions about Lulu and yourself.

After answering this, these sites will say you are eligible for expensive gifts including an iPhone. If you want to get the gifts, you will be advised to share the link on social media platforms like WhatsApp. On enter the detailed address, you will be notified that you will receive the prize within a week. Lulu Group said that people should not fall for such false promises and stay away from online scams.
