CHENNAI: In a ruling by the Madras High Court, actor Mansoor Ali Khan has been fined Rs 1 lakh for making inappropriate comments directed at actress Trisha. The amount should be given to Adayar Cancer Institute within 14 days.

The court has further dismissed a defamation case filed by Mansoor against actors Chiranjeevi, Trisha, and Khushbu, where he sought Rs 1 crore as compensation. Criticizing Mansoor's intentions, the High Court deemed his approach to the case as a pursuit of publicity rather than seeking justice.

Mansoor's controversial remarks about Trisha surfaced during an interview concerning Vijay's film 'Leo', released in October. Following widespread outrage, Mansoor issued an apology which Trisha accepted. Although the Women's Commission voluntarily intervened in the incident and instructed the police to file a case, Trisha informed that she was not interested in proceeding with the case. When everyone thought the matter was over, Mansoor approached the court with a defamation case.
