Governor changed usual route fearing protests, SFI protest with banner 'Fearless 53'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The SFI staged protests against Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on his way to the airport yesterday. However, knowing that there would be protests, the Governor changed his usual route. So, the protesters could not see the Governor.

There were protests on the Palayam-General Hospital road, the regular route of the Governor. Activists protested with the banner 'Fearless 53' at General Hospital Junction. The protestors waited in Palayam and Chakkai.

Following secret information of protests at multiple places along his regular route, the Governor went to the airport via Kuravankonam from Raj Bhavan. The Governor left Raj Bhavan at 6.40 pm and reached the airport at 7 pm. He went to Mumbai.

The SFI activists waved black flags at the Governor at General Hospital Junction when he was on his way to the Raj Bhavan from the airport days before.
