AYODHYA: Ayodhya chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das has responded to Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray's remark that he was not invited to the Ram Temple inauguration ceremony in Ayodhya. He clarified that only the devotees of Lord Ram are invited to the inauguration.

'Only devotees of Lord Ram have been invited for the function. It is wrong to say that BJP is fighting in the name of Ram. Our Prime Minister is respected everywhere. He has done great things under his rule. There is no politics in this. It is his devotion,' clarified Acharya Satyendra Das.

Acharya Satyendra Das also criticized Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut's remark that the only thing left for the BJP now is to announce Lord Ram as their candidate.

'They used to fight elections in the name of Lord Ram. Those who believed in Lord Ram are in power. What nonsense is he talking about? He is insulting Lord Ram.' Blamed Acharya Satyendra Das. Sajjay Raut also said the other day that BJP will seek votes in the name of Ram in the next year's Lok Sabha elections.
