DYFI unit secretary hacked in Thiruvananthapuram; DYFI accuses RSS of carrying out attack

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A DYFI leader was injured after being attacked in Thiruvananthapuram. Naruvamoodu DYFI unit secretary Ajeesh was hacked this afternoon. Earlier, a dispute had broken out in connection with the Mahalinga procession in the region. It is indicated that the attack was carried out under the guise of this dispute. DYFI has accused the RSS of carrying out the attack. Ajeesh was seriously injured and admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. DYFI workers also said that the assailants were accused in a murder case.

Verbal arguments and clashes had taken place between the two groups during the New Year celebrations at the place. The attack this afternoon resulted from this. The police have recorded Ajeesh's statement and registered a case against four people.
