K-Smart does the trick: 1,00,616 registrations made, 22,764 applicants receive certificates in record time

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister MB Rajesh heaped praises on the K Smart software, which was implemented to provide services to corporations and municipalities. Minister said the software was super active just two weeks after its introduction.

1,00,616 people have registered till 5 pm on the 15th. More than fifty thousand people have downloaded the mobile app. 22,764 people have applied for marriage-death-birth certificate. Most of the certificates are available within 24 hours.

About fifty certificates were available to the applicant within one hour while it took just two hours to get more than two hundred certificates. 23,627 people paid various fees through K Smart. Rs 9.06 crore through online kiosks in the front office of local bodies and Rs 45.86 lakh through software have reached the bank accounts of municipal bodies.

Of this, Rs 2.47 crore is for property tax. The property tax of 11,642 buildings has been paid through the software. Rs 34.79 lakhs through the app and Rs 2.12 crore through online kiosks at the front office of Municipalities in property tax.

1. Licensed supervisors were trained to prepare the K Smart plan.

2. All organization representatives have completed training at the state level.

3. All those who are currently paying taxes will have no difficulty in continuing to pay taxes.

4. Temporary employees will be given a temporary PEN number to be included in K Smart.

5. IKM has completed the first phase of training for about half of the employees of the municipal councils.
