Will Modi contest from Thiruvananthapuram? Prakash Javadekar comes with clarification, says BJP will write history in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amid rumors that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency in the next Lok Sabha elections, the central leadership of the party has responded. Prakash Javedekar, a senior leader and former Union Minister, said that the Prime Minister contesting in Thiruvananthapuram is just speculation. Speaking to the mediapersons in Kozhikode, he stated that the BJP will write history in Kerala in the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024 and within the next 100 days BJP leaders will meet all the voters in person.

Thiruvananthapuram is the constituency where the BJP has the highest probability of victory in the next Lok Sabha elections. It is almost decided that Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will contest in the constituency. There were strong rumors that a strong leader would contest from the central leadership because of that. One of them was that Prime Minister Narendra Modi entering the fray in Thiruvananthapuram.

Prakash Javadekar says that BJP will win in the state this time. "Even when there are no MLAs here, Modi gives great consideration to the Malayalees. BJP has started campaigning in the state. Modi's guarantee has been implemented in Kerala. Modi gave help to farmers and common people. This time the BJP will achieve its target in the state," Prakash Javadekar said.

Speaking on Exalogic probe, Prakash Javadekar clarified that if the Chief Minister's daughter Veena Vijayan has done something wrong, she will be punished. He responded in this regard in the context of the release of the report of the Registrar of Companies which concluded that the transaction between CMRL and Veena Vijayan's Exalogic was an offense under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. He added that everyone knows what Veena did.
