NEW DELHI: French President Emmanuel Macron was the chief guest in the elaborate parade held at New Delhi's Karthavya Path as part of the 75th Republic Day of India. President Macron apart from gracing the event has announced a special gift for India on this Republic Day.
France has slowly turned out to be the dream destination for Indian students seeking higher studies. Adding more joy, President Emmanuel Macron has promised more educational opportunities for Indian students. The announcement was made just before the celebrations. Macron said on social media that 30,000 Indian students will be allowed to study in France by 2030.
Separate centres will be started for learning the French language. Classes will start at international standards so it won’t matter again for Indian students to learn mandatory French for getting admission in any of the universities. The President also announced that visa procedures will be eased for Indian alumni who have studied in France.
