NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday hinted that the BJP will take up the disputes related to Shri Krishna Janmasthan in Mathura and Gyanvyapi Masjid. Replying to a debate in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Yogi said that if Lord Krishna had gone to the Kauravas to ask for just five villages in the Mahabharata, today's Hindu society demands only three centres of faith namely Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura.
“Krishna had gone to the Kauravas to ask for just five villages and today Hindus are only seeking the three centres of their faith — Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura. The Kauravas refused and Mahabharat took place. Everyone knows what happened to the Kauravas later,” he said.
"After the people got to see the celebrations in Ayodhya, Nandi Baba (companion of Lord Shiva) said, why should I wait," Yogi said referring to the court order permitting Hindus to offer prayers at the Gyanvapi Masjid.
"Everyone is happy that Lord Rama has been consecrated in the temple in Ayodhya. Ram Lalla had to produce proof of his existence for the temple to become a reality. We also kept our word. The consecration ceremony should have taken place earlier. Had it taken place earlier, the roads in Ayodhya would have been widened and the airport would have come up," he added.
