THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said the state is lying on the amount to be received from the Centre. They don’t have to give so much amount. He said the central government is not the whole cause of the crisis.

‘It is a lie saying that Rs 1800 crores has to be received from the Centre. It is a lie. It is an inflated figure. We had clarified it in the assembly,’ said Satheesan.

He said that Union Minister V Muraleedharan is settling the central investigations against Pinarayi. V Muraleedharan talks to the chief minister at night. He is the mediator between the Sangh Parivar leadership at the Centre and the CPM leadership in Kerala. Instead, Muraleedharan's right-hand man Surendran was saved from the case,’ he said.

V D Satheesan said the opposition is keenly observing the investigation of Serious Fraud Investigation (SFIO) into the pay-off controversy against chief minister's daughter Veena Vijayan. There should be an investigation against the chief minister also. He asked why taking eight months to investigate.

Meantime, the LDF protest in Delhi led by the chief minister against Centre’s neglect will begin soon. Leaders including Sitaram Yechury will participate. The march will start from Kerala House.
