'Those who said then let the law take its course are now defending CM's daughter'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan said that if the Chief Minister's hands are clean in the monthly payment controversy, instead of going to court, he should reply to the investigating agency. If there is a contract between companies, both parties need an answer. V. Muralidharan said that SFIO gave notice because it did not happen.

Muraleedharan asked, "In which party unit does the Chief Minister's daughter works. The approach taken by the CPM when the allegation came against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's son is not the same in the case of Veena Vijayan. Leaders who said then let the law take its course are now trying to justify the Chief Minister's daughter.

CPM document was released defending the Chief Minister's daughter Veena's Exalogic company. When central agencies filed a case against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan's son Bineesh Kodiyeri, who was the CPM state secretary, the party did not make such an explanation. Exalogic is justified in a document given to constituents ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
