Migrant worker dies in Thiruvananthapuram after rock fell on his head from lorry

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A migrant worker was killed in a freak accident in Thiruvananthapuram. Sahidul Haq (34), a native of West Bengal, died after a rock fell on his head from a lorry.

The accident took place in a granite quarry at Keezhaikonam near Venjarammoodu. The accident took place while a rock that was broken from the quarry was being moved to another part.

Although the injured worker was immediately taken to Gokulam Medical College in Venjarammoodu, his life could not be saved. Venjarammoodu police have registered a case and started an investigation.
